'Just Write' Competition; it is all about the journaling!

A picture may be worth 1,000 words however a few extra handwritten words go a long way when added to your photos. One of the most ignored and least used aspects of scrapbooking is, in my opinion, the most important. Writing about an event is as important as capturing it in a photo.

While it may be a chore, journaling adds so much to your page. Whether it is a few words or half a page, journaling is something you should always do before you call a page complete! So ... what do you have to do for this competition ...
  • Create a layout with handwritten, personal journaling on it! Handwritten means that it cannot be printed (it has to be your own handwriting!) and personal means that it has to be more than just a date, place and/ or quote.

  • Take a picture of your layout and email it to me (if possible, please include additional photos to show the journaling) before midnight on the 31st of March.

Here are some more 'rules' and details:

  • The winner will be announced in the first days of April 2010.
  • The winner will be determined by the Random Number Generator.
  • Each layout will get a number, which can be seen on the March 2010 slideshow on the right side of the blog.
  • Please understand that you can only send me one layout for each competition every month. I would like everyone who participates to have an equal chance!
  • Don't forget: please let me know your blog address (if you have one), so I can link the layout to you own blog!
IMPORTANT: this competition is open to ANYONE, ANYWHERE in the world!!! It doesn't matter if you live in the US, Europe, Australia, Africa ... I will post the prize to you regardless where you live!

The winner will receive a 'journaling pack' ... which includes a lot of items to help you get your words on your pages:
  • Chipboard Shapes 'Writer's Block' (Buzz & Bloom)
  • Spiral Notebook, 30 pages, {note}worthy (Making Memories)
  • Die Cuts Papers 18 'Mini Labels' (Jenni Bowlin)
  • Journaling Cards (Scripture By Design)
  • Notecards set of 18 Scalloped Cards (Jenni Bowlin)
